HolaHello helps learners practice spoken language with an AI tutor. This policy describes how the mobile app and API process information.

Information we process

We process account identifiers from sign-in providers, onboarding answers, voice audio, lesson transcripts, tutor session summaries, review items, settings, feedback, and basic app, device, request, crash, and performance metadata.

Subscriptions and payments

Apple processes all payments. We never receive your card or bank details. When you subscribe, we receive and store signed purchase records from Apple: transaction identifiers, the plan, purchase, renewal, and expiry dates, trial and refund status, and whether the purchase was made in Apple's test environment. We use these records, together with the length of your live lessons, to unlock lessons and apply your weekly minute allowance.

Voice and AI processing

Live lesson audio, transcript context, prompts, and related lesson settings are sent to OpenAI for realtime tutoring and transcription. The app also uses Apple Speech for provisional captions. Apple Speech runs on the device when supported and can otherwise use Apple speech services. Onboarding answers, lesson transcripts, and feedback requests are sent to OpenAI to build your plan, lesson summaries, and coach feedback.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate you, provide and personalize lessons, generate feedback, schedule reviews, measure reliability and cost, diagnose crashes, and protect the service from abuse. We do not sell personal information and do not use lesson data for cross-app tracking.

Retention and deletion

Application data is kept while your account is active. Choosing Delete Account immediately removes user-linked application data, including stored purchase records, from the active database and signs the app out. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it in your Apple account settings. Apple keeps its own purchase records under its privacy policy. Infrastructure backups and provider security records can remain for their limited backup or security retention periods before deletion under the applicable provider terms.

Your choices

You can deny microphone or speech-recognition access, stop a lesson, log out, or delete your account in Settings. Do not share sensitive personal, medical, financial, or confidential information during lessons.
